Papa Johns, Largo, FL

Rating – 4.2

My first time having Papa Johns. The crust was good but I can’t say the same for anything else on the slice. It got cold during the 5 minute ride home so the cheese was hard and rubbery. Mr. O’Malley suggested I dip it in the garlic dipping sauce to make it taste better. But I think if you need to drown the slice in a sauce, it’s just not a good slice. Overall would not eat it again.

They claim to serve a flatbread pizza but it’s definitely not. It was a very photogenic pie. The cheese is hard. Overall sauce to cheese ratio was not good. I had oil dripping down my fingers the entire time I ate the slice. The crust was good, crunchy. My Dad said this tasted like gas station pizza.

You really should never judge a book by its cover because this pizzeria had barb wire on the outside fence, a branch for a wreath, and bars on the windows. The plain cheese pizza was good, nothing special. The crust wasn’t great. My dad and my friend, Sofia, both got the chicken roll and said it was phenomenal. I would also recommend the garlic bread and the Nutella pizza.

The pizza is very oily and buttery. The crust doesn’t even taste like pizza. It comes out way too hot and takes a while to cool down. The cheese is hard and thick. I tried to take the cheese off to see if that was the problem, but the pizza still tastes buns. They don’t let you make any adjustments to the toppings. One of the offered toppings is jalapeño, which has no business being on Italian food.  Would not recommend.

Hot garbage

This was one of the worst slices I’ve had in a while. Nothing about it was really good. It was decent enough at first bite, but once it cooled down, the cheese hardened. The sauce just wasn’t that good. The only good thing about it was that the slice was so big it could feed 3 people. Just a garbage slice of pizza.
